- The title of the episode refers to the word "Sayonara" (Japanese for goodbye) which Shiro writes in the ground in the flashback at the start of the episode. It's other meaning is the notable loss of Aimi, as several characters mourn and say goodbye to her following her death.
- This is the first episode where multiple characters have flashbacks. Shiro, Jai, Georgie, Henry, Lorna, Angie, and Peter all have flashbacks focusing on their respective relationships with Aimi.
